Greg Shulman Appointed EVP of International Marketing at Resorts World

In a move to boost its international profile and attract high-end players, Resorts World Las Vegas has appointed Greg Shulman as Executive Vice President of International Marketing. The announcement, made on March 17, 2025, marks a strategic addition to the casino resort’s leadership team. Shulman, a veteran of the gaming industry with over 30 years of experience, is expected to lead efforts aimed at expanding the resort’s reach to global VIP clientele, aligning with Resorts World’s broader goal of long-term international growth.

Shulman’s extensive background in player development:

Shulman’s career in the gaming industry spans multiple high-profile roles, making him a seasoned player in casino marketing. He was a crucial part of the team that launched the Bellagio in 1998, where he served as Executive Director of Marketing. His career then took him to MGM Resorts International, where he worked in various capacities, including Vice President of Casino Marketing & Hospitality, before taking on the role of Vice President of International Marketing at Bellagio. His expertise in attracting high-profile international clients from key global markets has been a cornerstone of his career, and it is this skill set that Resorts World aims to leverage as it seeks to solidify its position as a global destination for luxury gaming.

Most recently, Shulman served as Vice President of Casino Marketing at Palms Casino Resort, where he significantly enhanced player development and guest relations. His time at Palms helped him refine his approach to marketing, focusing on creating tailored experiences for high-end players, which aligns perfectly with the goals of Resorts World Las Vegas. In addition, Shulman briefly left the Las Vegas market to serve as Chief Operating Officer at Sandia Resort & Casino in New Mexico, where he led efforts to reopen the property, driving its profitability to new heights.

Resorts World Las Vegas, which opened in June 2021 as a $4.3 billion megaresort on the northern Strip, has experienced mixed fortunes since its debut. Despite its impressive infrastructure and initial popularity, the resort has faced some challenges, including controversies involving regulatory issues and a connection to an illegal sports gambling scandal. These incidents led to the formation of a new board of directors, signaling the resort’s commitment to improving its reputation and operational success.

Carlos Castro, Resorts World’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, expressed confidence in Shulman’s ability to drive the resort’s international marketing efforts. “Greg’s impressive career in the gaming industry is a testament to his leadership and relationships all over the globe,” said Castro, according to Las Vegas Review-Journal. He further emphasized Shulman’s standing as one of the industry’s top player development executives, noting the valuable insight he will bring to Resorts World Las Vegas’s expansion efforts.

Shulman himself expressed enthusiasm about his new role. “I am excited to embark on the next chapter of my career at Resorts World Las Vegas and contribute to the company’s success as we look to accelerate our growth in the international VIP player market,” he said. He acknowledged the success that the property has achieved since its opening, adding that he looks forward to working with the leadership team to extend the resort’s presence both domestically and internationally.

Strong leadership behind Resorts World’s future success:

Shulman’s appointment comes as part of a larger effort by Resorts World to reinforce its leadership team. The resort’s newly-formed board, which includes high-profile figures such as former Nevada Gaming Commission Chairman Brian Sandoval and A.G. Burnett, the former Chairman of the Gaming Control Board, has been tasked with overseeing the resort’s growth and navigating the challenges it has faced. Jim Murren, Chairman of the Resorts World board, also weighed in on Shulman’s appointment, calling him a proven leader in the industry. “Greg has a proven track record of executing marketing strategies that attract new audiences and drive financial growth,” Murren said. He further expressed confidence that Shulman would play a pivotal role in expanding the resort’s global casino marketing efforts.
